Table for displaying coins/etc.

Some time ago, I broke the glass for my brass and glass coffee table. So I threw it away. I had a piece of glass lying around from a component stereo that I had given away. The glass was supposed to go too but when the smoke had cleared the glass was left behind. So I decided to try my hand at making a small coffee table. I had never made furniture (except for some bookstands) before so this would be a new experience. And since this was for me, it didn't have to be perfect. It just had to be nice enough so that I could put it in my living room and be able to tell people that I made it. I was describing my project to a friend and she suggested that instead of just a coffee table, I should make it so I can display some of my coin collection. So that's what I decided to do. The result is shown below. It still needs to be finished (I'm leaning toward paint) and I need to hide the screws, but this is what it looks like. The display base will flip over and also give me a blue field (rather than red). I think it's cute. BTW, that set in the center is the mint's State quarter/Euro set that I got today.
